Hauraruni International Missionary Training Centre (H.I.M.T.C.) is a collaborative initiative of International Christian Leadership Connections (I.C.L.C.), Full Gospel Fellowship (F.G.F.) of Guyana and Family of Faith Colledge, Shawnee, Oklahoma. H.I.M.T.C. was launched in May 1997 building on a work that has existed in Hauraruni since 1964, started by Full Gospel Fellowship in Guyana and has had considerable experience in training workers for the Kingdom. It aims to offer a broad based curriculum from certificate to degree level, attracting students from around the world. The faculty is made up of a principal, lecturers drawn from within Guyana and supporting lecturers from the international network. This pool of expertise reflects the five-fold ministry gifts.
H.I.M.T.C.'s mandate is to prepare men and women to reach the nations with the Gospel. H.M.I.T.C. is designed to equip them for the ministry through multi faceted residential training. With a 4-fold thrust in Biblical education, character development, ministry development and vocational skills development, the training courses are designed to prepare workers to reach unreached and unevangelised people groups by pioneer evangelism, church planting and contextualisation, to train ministers to pastor churches and to encourage the development and release of five fold ministries needed for the establishment of New Testament type churches.
Located in a remote and rustic Christian community situated about 30 miles from Guyana's capital, Georgetown, Hauraruni is a quiet and secluded place ideal for both academic study and leisure activities. Although basic and simple, the campus is spacious with dormitory accommodation, for both male and female students. There is a dining hall with kitchen, a large chapel, classrooms, a well equipped library with study and office accommodation. Practical training facilities within the campus include a farm, a vehicle mechanics workshop and a wood working factory. There is also a large sports field.
